At Liberty Diamonds, our story began with a fascination for diamonds and a dedication to understanding what makes them beautiful.
Our founder, David Lob, grew up in South Africa, where his interest in diamonds led him to an apprenticeship in diamond cutting and gemology at just 19 years old. His talent eventually brought him and his young family to Orange County, California, where he became head foreman at a leading diamond-cutting firm. In 1982, he followed his dream of opening his own business, and Liberty Diamonds was born.
What began as a diamond wholesale and cutting firm grew through personal referrals into the family-owned jewelry store we are today. David's youngest son, Troy Lob, joined the business in 2000, bringing his own passion for diamonds and a drive to explore new possibilities in jewelry design and technology.
Today, our Irvine showroom brings together generations of diamond expertise, skilled craftsmanship, and custom design, all with the personal attention that has defined Liberty Diamonds from the beginning.
